During these two segments, Debbie (www.onthehomestretch.com) and I discuss how some of the major changes in our lives as we and our families grow up can send us to go to the food for comfort and strength and what we can do to combat that.  In the second segment in particular, if you've ever wondered what a relaxing session of hypnotherapy is like, or if you've been worried about reaching out to us for help because of your fear of hypnosis, you need to listen to the last five minutes of segment two because we do a very abbreviated, general hypnotherapy session*.  Get yourself to a dim, quiet place, hit play and relax.  You may even want to listen to this one right before going to bed, so you can have the best night sleep ever.  Also note, that when you're in a relaxed, comfortable state mentally and physically, you are better able to handle stress and less likely to eat over it.  Bonus!

During the first segment, Debbie ((www.onthehomestretch.com) and I discussed how to identify what was going on emotionally in her life that sent her blindly searching for a sugar fix and then how she (and you) can  work on changing that behavior.  In the second segment, we continued that discussion and then talked about some surprises you might find in your food if you must go out to eat.  For those of you who are watching your cholesterol, this segment is for you! 

Below the links, you will find a selection of foods I picked to show how it is important to be aware of what you're eating.  I don't want you to become a calorie or fat gram fanatics or become overly obsessed with it.  What I'd rather you do is have the awareness, so you can make better choices while still ultimately listening to your body and eating only when hungry and stopping when satisfied.

These segments with Debbie (www.onthehomestretch.com) were done on Valentine's Day!  What a wonderful holiday IF you're not on a diet, right?  This used to be a difficult holiday for me since it seemed I was always on one diet or another many years ago.  The thought of getting candy scared me, but not now.  I look forward to the holidays and enjoy them for how they're meant to be enjoyed instead of letting the food of the occasion determine what kind of holiday it's going to be (i.e. good or bad, happy or sad, or downright devastating)
